Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Pacific Time

Contract Rate: $10.00-$12.00 USD per hour [after Upwork fees]

Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

Contractor Staffing Source helps construction companies throughout the United States and Canada recruit employees and improve their hiring and team-management processes.

We are seeking a Team Building Specialist to work directly with construction company owners and managers. This client-facing role supports clients with recruiting, candidate evaluation, employee assessments, team analysis, and practical recommendations for improving team performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly client meetings via Zoom.
• Build professional relationships with construction company owners and managers.
• Help clients identify hiring needs and team challenges.
• Review recruiting campaigns and hiring progress with clients.
• Review resumes, applicants, assessments, and interview feedback.
• Evaluate candidates based on job-related qualifications, experience, communication skills, and role requirements.
• Read and interpret Wimbush assessments as they relate to applicants, employees, and positions.
• Provide clients with hiring recommendations and guidance.
• Help clients identify workplace issues affecting productivity and team performance.
• Facilitate discussions about communication, accountability, retention, and team performance.
• Develop practical action plans with clients to improve team effectiveness.
• Follow up on action items and provide accountability support.
• Collaborate with Team Building Specialists throughout the hiring process.
• Discuss how technology, AI, automation, and offshore support may support clients' workforce needs.
• Maintain accurate client notes, recommendations, and follow-up activities in company systems.

Required Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with business owners and leadership teams.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Zoom, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with U.S. and Canadian clients in a professional business setting.
• Ability to consistently work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in recruiting, staffing, consulting, coaching, account management, customer success, leadership development, or a similar client-facing field.
• Experience reviewing resumes and evaluating candidates against job requirements.
• Experience with behavioral or workplace assessments such as DISC, Wimbush, or similar tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and common construction-related positions.

Compensation and Engagement

• This is a remote independent contractor engagement requiring approximately 40 hours per week.
• The contract rate is $10.00-$12.00 USD per hour [after] applicable Upwork freelancer fees.
