Superintendent (Ground-Up Luxury Residential)
Location: Los Angeles, CA
If you run a clean, organized jobsite, hold the quality line, and can keep trades moving without drama, we want you leading our builds.
We're hiring a Superintendent to run ground-up luxury custom home projects across Los Angeles (including areas like Pacific Palisades/Malibu and surrounding communities). This is a boots-on-the-ground role with a tight-knit crew that operates like family, and expects professionalism, integrity, and pride in the work.
As a Superintendent, you'll be responsible for daily field execution, planning work, coordinating trades, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and delivering high-end finishes that meet our standards. You'll partner closely with ownership and the Project Manager to keep projects on schedule and running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Run the jobsite day-to-day for ground-up luxury residential projects
- Build and maintain short-interval plans (2-3 week lookahead), and keep the schedule moving
- Coordinate subcontractors: sequencing, site access, readiness, productivity, and quality expectations
- Enforce jobsite standards: safety, cleanliness, protection of finishes, and professional conduct
- Perform quality control and punch walks throughout the project (not just at the end)
- Review plans, specs, details, and RFIs with the PM/owner; flag conflicts early
- Receive and stage materials; confirm deliveries and lead times to avoid delays
- Maintain daily logs, progress photos, and field documentation
- Support inspections and ensure work is built to code and plan requirements
- Communicate effectively with clients/owners when needed, calm, respectful, and solutions-focused
- Use (or learn) tools like Autodesk Construction Cloud for photos, checklists, daily logs, and coordination
Qualifications
- Strong experience as a Superintendent in ground-up residential construction
- Luxury/high-end custom home experience strongly preferred (high expectations for fit/finish)
- Ability to read plans, catch issues before they become change orders, and coordinate solutions
- Proven ability to lead trades and keep projects on track in real-world conditions
- Strong communication and follow-through, no surprises, no excuses
- Pride in jobsite organization, safety, and craftsmanship
- Comfort with construction software and documentation (Autodesk ACC/Build a plus)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel between sites
- Team fit matters: loyal, honest, drama-free, and aligned with a small "family-style" crew
Compensation, Work Area & Schedule
- Employment Type: W-2 | Full-time | On-site (field-based, Los Angeles region)
- Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 salary per year, based on experience
- Work Area: Los Angeles region (generally within ~20-25 miles of the office/primary job sites)
