<h1>Soaring Towers</h1><h1><strong style="font-size: 20px;">Level 1 Field Technician</strong></h1><h1><span style="font-size: 12px;">Los Angeles County, CA | Full-time | Field-based</span></h1><p><br></p><p>This is a field-based position requiring daily travel to client locations throughout Los Angeles County. There is no fixed office reporting location.</p><p>When a client's printer won't print, a workstation won't boot, or a laptop fleet needs to be rolled out, someone has to be there in person. At Soaring Towers, that person is our Field Technician. You'll be the hands-on face of our team across the Los Angeles area, solving problems we can't fix remotely.</p><h2><br></h2><h2>About Soaring Towers</h2><p>Soaring Towers is a managed IT and cybersecurity provider founded in 2017 and headquartered in Culver City. We support construction firms, CPA and accounting practices, and registered investment advisers in more than 15 states, focusing on security, compliance, and modern automation.</p><p>Our engineering and support team works remotely; this Field Technician role works primarily on-site at client locations. Your workday will typically begin at your first assigned client site.</p><h2><br></h2><h2>About the Role</h2><p>In your first year, you'll become a go-to person for on-site work across our Los Angeles client base. You'll get to know our clients' offices, equipment, and teams. You'll handle deployments and break-fix calls independently, document your work clearly, and know when and how to escalate issues.</p><p>Our remote engineering team will rely on you to be their eyes and hands on site.</p><h2><br></h2><h2>What You'll Do</h2><ul><li>Deploy and configure workstations, printers, and peripherals, and set up new users</li><li>Diagnose and resolve physical hardware issues, including failed drives, bad RAM, power problems, display and dock issues, and faulty peripherals</li><li>Troubleshoot and replace network equipment, including Ubiquiti switches, access points, and firewalls</li><li>Resolve on-site tickets in ConnectWise PSA, with clear notes documenting what you found and what you did</li><li>Keep client documentation current in Hudu, including asset records and site details</li><li>Work with remote engineers on escalations and provide hands-on support for complex on-site issues</li><li>Represent Soaring Towers professionally with clients, including in regulated environments where security and confidentiality matter</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>1+ years of hands-on IT support experience, such as help desk, field service, or MSP experience</li><li>Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 devices</li><li>Working knowledge of basic networking, including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs</li><li>Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation for daily travel to client locations throughout Los Angeles County</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform work in areas such as server closets and under desks, with reasonable accommodations available</li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certification</li><li>Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, or Entra ID</li><li>Experience with Ubiquiti/UniFi equipment</li><li>Experience with component-level hardware repair or vendor warranty processes involving Dell, Lenovo, HP, or similar manufacturers</li><li>Prior MSP experience or familiarity with ConnectWise tools</li></ul><h2>What to Expect</h2><p>This is a mobile, hands-on position, and you'll spend a meaningful portion of your workday traveling between client sites throughout Los Angeles County. You'll sometimes arrive at a client location when a critical system is down, so you'll need to stay calm, troubleshoot methodically, and communicate clearly.</p><p>Because our engineering and support team works remotely, you'll also need to be comfortable working independently and reaching out for assistance through chat and phone when needed.</p><h2><br></h2><h2>Compensation and Benefits</h2><ul><li><strong>Base pay: $20-$30 per hour</strong>, depending on relevant experience, skills, and certifications</li><li>Business mileage reimbursement in accordance with company policy and applicable law</li><li>PTO and paid sick leave</li><li>Paid certification exams and training</li></ul><p>Soaring Towers is an equal opportunity employer.
